AI Factory, an Italian spin-off of AI Venture Builder, specialized in the development, integration, and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for enterprises, is looking for a Senior MLOps Engineer with at least 5 years of experience.
In this role, you will lead the infrastructure and processes required to bring our AI models into production, and you will be directly responsible for:
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable MLOps infrastructure for training, deploying, and monitoring machine learning models (including LLMs);
- Implementing and managing CI/CD/CT pipelines (Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Training) to automate the entire model lifecycle;
- Working closely with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to facilitate the transition of models from experimentation to production;
- Managing data, code, and model versioning (e.g., DVC, MLflow Model Registry) to ensure reproducibility and traceability;
- Monitoring model performance, latency, and costs in production, implementing logging, alerting, and automated retraining strategies;
- Staying up to date with the latest MLOps and DevOps tools and best practices, continuously experimenting with new solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in MLOps, DevOps, or Software Engineering roles, with a strong focus on operationalizing ML models;
- In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix systems;
- Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for Machine Learning (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions);
- Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes);
- Practical experience with MLOps platforms (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow) and/or ML services from major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure);
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash);
- Experience monitoring production systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) and managing model drift.
Contract and Compensation
- Preference for freelance collaborations with a VAT number (Partita IVA), though permanent employment contracts will also be considered based on profile and mutual needs;
- Compensation commensurate with experience and level of commitment, with the possibility of a customized package discussed during the interview.
